Replan checks before construction starts whether concurrent roadworks and detours fit together and whom a combination of closures affects.
Every roadworks is approved on its own. Problems come from the combination: two closures in the same corridor, or a detour over a street that already carries a detour. Replan puts all works on one map and one timeline and calculates the effects with an agent-based traffic simulation.
Three roadworks for the same four weeks. Every car takes the colour of the delay it collects from detours and congestion. Uncoordinated, the trips through the middle turn red. Replan finds an order in which no trip is badly delayed. At the end the same calculation for a whole city with 16 roadworks.

Roadworks from applications and traffic sign plans are captured with AI or taken from existing systems. Traffic sign plans with AI
Every new works is checked against all other roadworks, detour routes and periods. You see what can run in parallel and what cannot.
The simulation shows where traffic goes and which districts, transit lines and population groups a closure affects.
Bus and tram detours are planned in Replan Transit with timetable, vehicles and cost.
Works, closure periods and detours on one shared timeline, per street, corridor and district.
Areas, conflicts and impacts as GeoJSON. Other formats or an interface we agree with you.
Applications, traffic sign plans and existing roadworks data become geodata with place, lanes and period.
Overlaps in space and time with other roadworks, detour routes and transit lines are flagged.
Every simulated person plans the day again. The result shows extra distance, detour load and affected destinations.
Compare variants with dates and detours and pass on the result with map and figures.
So that the check knows every roadworks, the AI reads applications and traffic sign plans from PDF. Traffic sign plans with AI

| Often today | With Replan | |
|---|---|---|
| Capture | Plan as PDF, area redrawn by hand in GIS | AI proposes work zone, lanes and signs, the case officer confirms |
| Overview | Single orders, spreadsheets, calendars | All works on a map and a timeline |
| Conflicts | Often visible only once building starts | Checked before construction against roadworks, detours and periods |
| Who is affected | Experience and estimates | Simulation by district, transit line and population group |
| Hand-over | Email and PDF | GeoJSON for GIS, specialist systems and traffic information |
Winner of the City Challenge Berlin 2026 “Smarte Baustelleninformation für weniger Stau” with the Senate Department for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment. The pilot phase is running.
AI-supported roadworks management with the City of Neuss: civil works, detour routes and periods in one check.
Roadworks coordination aligns works on the street in space and time, so that closures and detours do not block each other. Replan checks every new works against all others and simulates the effects on traffic and public transport.
No. Replan reads the works from existing systems or from PDF and returns results as geodata. Your GIS stays the leading system.
The roadworks with place and period, as application, traffic sign plan or dataset. Network and population are built from open data such as OpenStreetMap, GTFS and census. Existing traffic models can be taken over.
Yes. Replan Transit plans bus and tram detours with timetable, vehicles and cost. Replan SIM shows the effect on passengers. Transit service planning with Replan Transit →
With one city and one concrete question, for example a closure in a corridor. The prototype of the AI review app for the Berlin Senate Department was ready after four weeks.
