Our AI reads traffic sign plans from PDF and turns them into geodata: work zones, closed lanes, traffic signs, periods.
Applications for traffic orders arrive as PDF drawings. For coordination and traffic information, somebody redraws the area by hand. Replan proposes the objects and places them on the map. The case officer checks, corrects and confirms them in a review app.
Computer vision finds signs and areas in the plan, a language model reads place, period and works from the application. Both land on the street network.

The plan comes from the application portal or the specialist system.
Traffic signs, work zones, closed lanes, legend, period and street reference.
The case officer confirms or corrects. Uncertain objects come first, with confidence.
Export as GeoJSON to GIS, roadworks coordination and traffic information.
Traffic signs in the plan are detected and taken over with position and type.
Work zones and closed lanes appear as areas on the map, linked to the street.
Start, end and closure times from plan and application are attached to the works.
Plan and proposal lie on top of each other. Every change by the case officer is saved.

A traffic sign plan shows how roadworks or an event are secured on the street: work zone, lanes, traffic signs and barriers. In Germany it is part of the application for a traffic order (verkehrsrechtliche Anordnung).
In the Berlin pilot the model detects traffic signs with 96 % precision and 82 % recall, trained on 113,190 images. The case officer confirms every result before it goes into the geodata.
No. The AI makes proposals, the case officer checks and confirms. The order stays with the authority.

It goes into roadworks coordination: Replan checks every works against all others and simulates whom a combination of closures affects. Roadworks coordination with Replan →
